The red carpet at any awards show features celebrities adorned in designer gowns and distinguished attire. Reporters always ask “What are you wearing?”  They proudly respond with Givenchy . . . Dior . . .Versace, Luis Vitton,  and so on—custom made clothing that has been tailored specifically for them.

I’ve never had the experience of wearing a tailor-made suit, but I hear there is nothing like it! The fit and comfort is beyond what you can get off the rack—you even feel better; more confident. Maybe one day!

The Bible describes the devil as subtle, and crafty. He tries to make sin fit comfortably into your life—like a tailor-made suit. He takes his time devising a plan to distract you.  He will slowly cloak you in deception and tolerance. After a period of time, you may strut proudly with your tailor-made sin . . . uh, suit! You may be savvy enough to avoid big obvious sins, but it takes being grounded in the Word of God not to gradually lose your way.

The Word says to put on the garment of praise, and to put on the whole armor of God.  We are to be clothed in His righteousness.

The question is, who is your “tailor” and what are you wearing?  —submitted by Rodney Harrison, US
