In the midst of great duress,

we can still achieve success;

even if our efforts are in vain,

we can still try again and again.

Neither should we want to die,

nor should we give up and cry;

whether our umpteenth or first try,

let us make each one our best try.

When we depend on our own strength,

we may fail like never before;

when we rely on other men,

we are not sure what’s in store.

When with diligence, we work as we should,

and in God, we place our faith, hope and trust,

everything will always work unto good,

and our success will come to past and last.

Without God, there will never be success,

as in things, big or small, God shows He cares.

He helps us to brave and pass each test

with the boldness and wisdom He shares.

If we do our best and we still fail,

we may look like failures in human eyes;

but by God’s grace, we will all prevail

because we are the apples in God’s eyes.

No matter the resources in our lands,

none of us are born with success in our hands.

Success is one percent inspiration

and ninety nine percent perspiration.

Whether we are working or still studying,

we must always be wise and work smart;

whether success comes crawling or running,

we should always complete what we start.

Pray or fast or both, we must sometimes do

to achieve our goals to be successful;

whichever action we discern to do,

to God, let us all ever be grateful.

When we become wealthy or famous,

we must remain humble and righteous;

the poor and oppressed, we should assist,

as in our walk with God, we persist.

What it really is, we must never miss,

much more than a “non-failure”, success is

an achievement with true fulfillment,

a fulfillment with much contentment.

Indeed, all through history,

in the temptations we meet,

success is God’s victory

and Satan’s pre-destined defeat.
