“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-24 NIV).

Please forgive my bias, but this is written especially for nurses, doctors, law enforcement people, and teachers. I know you have difficult jobs because I spent ten wonderful years volunteering in hospitals with those special little angels—nurses. I have friends who are law enforcement workers and I’ve been a teacher for over seven years. I know you have extremely difficult jobs and at times wonder if it’s worth it. Let me share a secret with you: You are where you are because God put you there. It’s right where your special skills are needed. You’re on the frontline—performing one of the most important jobs in society.

I know most times you’re not appreciated and your job is extremely difficult. When you feel exhausted or depressed, just think of Jesus at judgment day—lovingly and proudly saying to you: Well done my beloved good and faithful servant. Come and enjoy your reward (eternity in heaven.).

I wish I could see you today and give you a big hug and tell you how much I appreciate all your hard work and dedication, but I pray this letter to you will do.

Prayer: My beloved Jesus el Shaddai (the Lord is suffient for the needs of His people) please give comfort and encouragement to all our magnificent men and women who so courageously dedicate themselves to helping others. When they are tired and depressed, please comfort and love them as only You can. In Your gracious name I pray. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.  —submitted by Joseph Green, China
