Opened the door after letting our little dog Shadow outside last night. He came inside and stretched out. My husband Jason called to him. When Shadow ran in his direction, a muddy imprint of a paw was left behind on the floor. Guess who had run through the sprinkler and then rolled in a muddy mess?

We immediately had to put him in the sink—couldn’t wait for a groomer! He had to get cleaned up as soon as we discovered it.

You know, it’s too bad I don’t jump in the “spiritual tub” as quickly when I realize the mess I’ve made.

Lessons from a dog can be, well, “ruff!”
