I was recently fired from my job. They accused me of doing something that I didn’t do at all. It was a hurtful situation. I couldn’t imagine that something like this would have ever happened to me. As I am going through this process, I realize that God was moving me into the place that He wants me to be in. Now, that I am unemployed, I have to definitely trust God more than before. This situation has been a growing process for me. I know that God doesn’t allow things for no apparent reason. I trust Him through this process and I know that He will bless me!
Lance is, thank you for your sharing. Praying for your situation.
I had a similar experience as you. I felt injustice was done to me and was really hurt. I tried to tell my boss and management at the top the truth. However, it was useless as it was a large organisation, they didn’t care nor wanted to intervene. I left with a sore heart. To cut my story short, years later when I looked back I realised that as in Romans 8:28 says “And we know that in ALL things, God works for the good of those who love Him.” Glad that I didn’t move away from God then, but continued to stay close to Him. Though not in the way I truly know Him now.
I remember a writer in ODJ said in a devotion the following. When we are facing a battle:
Don’t try to –
Figure out your way through
Reason your way through
Guess your way through
Feel your way through
Push your way through
Manipulate your way through
Fake your way through
All you should do are:
Trust your way through – 2 chronicles 20:12
Pray your way through – Ephesians 6:18
Believe your way through – 1 John 5:4
Walk your way through – Isaiah 43:2-3
Praise your way through – Joshua 6:20
I am so glad to know God and that I can always count on Him to give me the strength, the peace and comfort to face the many storms in our lives.
Lancemia and GChoo, the common thread I see in both of you stories is the recognition of God’s presence and that you can trust in Him. Thank you fo sharing—your faith strengthens and grows our own. May God helps us all to live out the words for Proverbs 3:5-6.
