What does it mean to experience true joy in Jesus?

To experience a true joy in Jesus is to first have a relationship that is bond and is renewed with prayer fasting and reading the word of god. Being honest and humble willing to make amends when we have failed. And to share that love with others even those we think are unlovable.

mayaka, I like your thoughts. True joy does flow from a relationship with Jesus. Paul wrote, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). Joy flows from a deep trust in God.

I feel true joy in Jesus Christ when I wake up at dawn and feel the need to open my Bible and see what Jesus has to say that will guide me during the day. After my devotional I look at the face of my wife and son while they are still asleep and thank God for the peace in my house. Though I am a father and a husband, being humble like a little child to seek and follow Jesus’ leading helps me lead, support, love, and protect my family. That is my great joy in Jesus.

true joy in Jesus is the knowledge that you are never alone in this world. this is sometimes not easy to believe as the spirit of God is not visible to the naked eye at that very moment. Look around and see Your good works and the good works of others and you will see the holy spirit . God works in mysterious ways. Have Faith In God and in Yourself

Experiencing True joy in Jesus is having the overwhelming happiness and contentment in being with Him. Knowing that even we don’t deserve Him, He is always there, waiting for us. It is a kind of joy that He always offers to us that no other people and “gimmicks” or anything in this world can give.

To me, the joy comes when I am at my lowest point, whether from a family crisis or loss, bad day at work, etc. When I experience the peace that He has promised me, I find the joy in knowing where it comes from. And often through my tears, He brings a smile to my face. I have felt this many times. He is good and faithful.

For me it’s about having that inner contentment. Knowing that I’m not perfect and my life often will not go as I want it to, but that I am loved, and God has a purpose for me and a good plan for my life.

It is that peace in my heart that surprises me when I am reading scripture and the Word seems to come alive.
Or those times when tears of undefinable gratitude stream down my face when I’m reminded of how great must God’s love be that He would allow me to enter into His Holy presence in prayer, knowing He hears me.
Or singing praise to Jesus for His loving sacrifice. “I could sing of your love forever…”
Maybe it’s that secret place in my heart that knows the truth. That, in spite of who I am, my sins are forgiven and forgotten because Jesus paid the price for me. And the knowledge that God’s tender mercies start anew each day.
I bought a T-shirt that says ‘I am the wretch the song refers to’.

I often wonder how God who is so mighty, strong, wise, loving, and I can’t nameall of His attributes, so love us. I share the thought of David, “What is man, that thou art mindful of Him and the son of man that visitest him” Psalm 8:. Man who is capable of doing some of the lowest deeds in life, yet, He loves us. He provides for us. He, who is pure and holy, and without fault. Well, that gives me joy, joy unspeakable joy. Realize that ALL things are given and they come from the Lord the giver of ALL GOOD things, and returning the keep of these gifts unto Him who is able to keep that which has been committed unto Him upon that day!
Life is always a Joy when you realize it is not even YOURS!

true joy in Jesus means that despite of the hardship, trouble and worries of life we remain calm, peaceful, loving and trusting….by the GRACE of God.

I have always loved the 23rd Psalm, “The Lord is my Shepherd.” I have heard it and said it a million times. I have a Jack Russell Terrier, and about a year ago I was given a German Shepherd. One day I was watching the dogs play. It was amazing how the big dog was shepherding the little dog. I guess I never realized what the word “shephard” meant. Whenever he saw the little dog get close to harm’s way, he would nudge her in another direction. I think that is what true joy in Jesus means, as long as I trust and obey, my steps are ordered of God. It’s a real joy knowing I am being watch over. I realize for the first time what I really mean when I say, “The Lord is my Shephard.

true joy is glorious adoration for God himself in the midst of a difficult situation, when God’s majestic presence overshadows any problem.

True joy in Jesus is having that inner peace especially during the difficult and challenging times. I love the hymn, “It is Well with My Soul”, because to me that is the definition of having that trust in our Lord which allows us to experience the true joy in Jesus.
