Hello Brothers & Sisters, Well I am an American living in Tianjin, China with my wife who is a Chinese national. We are in the process of opening our own small school at our apt to teach young children basic English skills and incorporate some Biblical points into their lives, let Jesus’ love shine through in our lives. I attend an international church here, and through their connections with the Tianjin Orphanage, I am taking some training through Healing Young Hearts to go do some volunteer work at the Adult Facility, where the residents go if they aren’t adopted by the age of 14 yrs. So, I know how blessed I was to be born and raised in the USA with a loving family and all of the blessings that go along with that. The Lord spoke to me and said I want you to go and be some light for these poor, neglected children of mine. So that’s what I am doing to bring some shalom to our little part of the world right now. God Bless you all.
gary1schelvan, thanks so much for sharing your inspiring mission in China. My wife and I are blessed to have two international students (brothers) from China in our home. It’s great to see how God is giving them His peace and joy. It’s wonderful to see His shalom being realized around the earth!
AS MISSIONARIES AND BRINGING GOOD NEWS OF GOD ABOVE, WE ARE RESPONSIBLE TO DELIVER OUR SERVICES AND MESSAGES IN ACCORDANCE TO GOD ABOVE AND OUR ACCOUNTABILITIES TO HIM.
DO NOT USE GOD’S WORDS AND TRUTHS AS TOOLS AND WEAPONS FOR POWER, AUTHORITY, LUXURIES AND SELFISH NEEDS AND WANTS!

IT’S FOR HIS GLORY, NOT OURS;
FOR ALL HUMAN CREATION ON EARTH FOR HE CREATED US WITH A PURPOSE, ONLY HE KNOWS!
REMEMBER THE JUDGEMENT THRONE OF GOD; SINS FORGIVEN ARE STILL IMPRINTED!
READ THE WORD OF GOD PROPERLY BEFORE ACTIONS OF THE DEVIL CATCHES YOU ON!
I have to say that this is a very good question for a discussion.
I would have to say first and foremost that bringing Shalom to our corner of the world is not something we can do on our own. It is however something that God is more than happy to assist us with.
I know for our corner of the world a lot of people respond to the way my family and I live our lives. We are very open about what the peace of God has done in our lives and strive in to live by that peace in everything we do. It isn’t always easy to do that as I have already said, but it does make a difference in the way we react to the pressures of the world around us and even with with each other.
I don’t know if that answers the question, but that what we do 🙂
It does answer the question, seeking777always! What you wrote reminds me of the importance of simply living faithful lives that reflect the peace of Jesus. As you model that shalom before others, I’m sure they see the reflection of God in your words and ways!
