I absolutely LOVE the Chronicles of Narnia. Yes it is a children’s book, but it is just an encouragement that a book that had Christianity at it’s heart, became so popular amongst little kids. It shows that God is Love in a world that hates God. I have also read Out of Silent Planet, and the rest in the series, but none gives the better point than the Chronicles of Narnia.
Mere Christianity for me. I went through a period of doubting my faith and Lewis’ explanation of faith in God encouraged me greatly. Because his faith and turning to God came from a place of his own atheistic/agnostic questions was helpful to me as I worked through my own questions. So, for me, Mere Christianity is a classic that I will always reference as my own En Gedi.
