Absolutely ridiculous. Just proves what a dark grip Satan has on this world, that evil things like vampires could appear so attractive. I confess that I was once into it but now I hate it with passion.
it was clearly stated in the bible that we should not engage in any kinds of witchcraft and the like. The young generation is brainwashed by these trending movies that make them turn away from God’s word. The movie and the characters has nothing to do with God’s mission and glory.
honestly god is mentioned in the books but not in the movies so dont judge its not our place its gods place i watch the movies and read the books its not a bad book i dont look at it that way
I was never attracted to the Twilight series and so have never watched a single one. I think they are bad news, just the trailers tell us that, unless we are too blinded to see it. I’m not interested, Thank you Lord!
I haven’t read the Breaking Dawn part 1, or seen the movie, but I did see the first movie of the whole series.
It appeals to teenage girls and I must say it is better than a lot of the horror movies which appeal to the same audience.
In this latest movie, which my teenage daughter disliked quite a bit, the subject of abortion comes up. I haven’t read enough summaries to see what viewpoint they present, but it appears as though the mother decides to have the baby and not abort. So, in a sense it is pro-life, but it is also pro-choice as it is Bella’s decision to keep it despite all the advice to abort.
The ‘occult’ stuff doesn’t bother me that much. I am more intrigued by how they bring the real life issues teenagers face into a fantasy world of vampires. Makes me want to find out more about the story line.
Like you say, I really shouldn’t be commenting on this movie as I haven’t seen it, but I do know through my daughter that Edward and his family did not want Bella to have the baby as they feared for her safety.
I am not interested in any of these movies…I haven’t read a single Harry Potter book….I am just not interested.
….have to wonder what all the attraction is of both of these ‘phenomenally appealing’ items ??? ….They both have certainly attracted the crowds and $$$!!!!
…perhaps they provide an escape from a ‘harsh reality’.
I like that my faith comes along side, and helps me to walk within my reality…during both hard and good times!!
look i love the movie i look at it as a romance novel i dnt look at it as vampires and werewolves thats not what stephanie meyer intended to it it mentions jesus and a scripture in the twilight book and new moon it mentions carlisles relative was a pastor before he past read the books before you judge
Not here to judge we are held accountable for our decisions either we could help some one stumble from seeing a film that is more than questionable.
As well as our own knowning that if we are to be ambassadors for Christ this film will be objectionable on many counts. Yet the question I ask at times like this is not WWJD just would Jesus go see this movie he might to go witness however for entertainment I venture to say he might not.
I have not read nor seen the movies I do know of the content it is as many say a love story not like vampires before…..and there is the word ‘Vampire’
Vam·pire /ˈvamˌpī(ə)r/Noun: 1. A corpse supposed, in European folklore, to leave its grave at night to drink the blood of the living by biting their necks with long… 2. A person who preys ruthlessly on others.
Not a slam I never use definitions in a forum however this is what is at the center of this question.
Do we or I support this is the question at hand?
I shall not.
