In April 2012 I had a massive heart attack. My heart stopped 3 times and I had to be shocked back to life 3 times. While I was in theatre being worked on, my wife rang our church elders, and they immediately contacted our church prayer group who straight away started to pray for me. I know that God heard those prayers and that they saved my life, at the time there was nothing else that could have.God never let’s you down. This was just one of several times God has miraculously helped me and my wife out of seemingly hopeless situations.
That day changed my life for ever. Praise God.
clockman 1, what an incredible story! It’s a beautiful thing to see the Body of Christ respond during a crisis—offering prayers and compassionate help. Praise God His provision in your life. He’s given you a testimony that’s a powerful presentation of His grace.
Thank God for your life and the responsive prayer group.
Christians bear lots of needless pain because they did not commit everything to God in prayer. A lot of christians will be disappointed in heaven when they see all the resources that were made available for them on earth so that they could live a stress-free life, but have gone through what they went through and blamed God for ignoring them or …
Anyone that can pray will absolutely change the world around him.
When did God provide for you in an amazing way during a difficult time in life?
The first one that I remember is that I thought God was mad because I had gotten divorced. (Husband actually filled and I didn’t even go.} It weighed heavily on my heart. I also thought that if I had Jesus during my marriage it might have come out a whole lot better. I spent the next year and a half with a boyfriend. He drank, he’d stay out late, he wouldn’t help me when I needed it and he wouldn’t spend any time with me, just his beer that he drank every day.’
How could this be where I was suppose to be at and who I was suppose to be with. I asked God several times if I was where I was suppose to be. The answer was yes. I didn’t understand why.
I studied the Bible every day and for long hours.
Then I had a situation with my boyfriend and kicked him out. I thought God would be mad because I didn’t ask Him first.
Instead He said, You been with him a year and a half, you had Jesus in you, and you improved yourself, but could you change another person? OMG! I couldn’t so it tells me I couldn’t change my husband or my kids or anyone besides myself is it was Gods decision.
I felt a very heavy weight lift off my shoulder and also had found out that my husband handed me the paper for divorce. I was baptised after that. When my slate was cleaned off the divorce went with it. I didn’t have to worry about it any more.
My husband died a few years later and he didn’t bring himself to ask for my forgiveness, so I did it for him. I let it go with him.
I learned to give all my sins to Him because He really does take them away. I realized that I only knew of God before but now I know Him up close and personal. I love God and how He can help us in such a gentle way.
I have many things that happened but this was one of the first things. Thank you God, father of Jesus Christ, Amen.
