I wish to find someone that I wanna grow old together and I haven’t found yet, God has shown me that the right person is not ready for me yet.
So I have learned that I need to have patience, have faith and believe in God’s promises!!!
You know Miriam, as a Believer I used to struggle with that too and sometimes today I still have phantom thoughts that I have to immediately pray away. But what I’ve come to learn is that when we are alone in life is because God has us here for a reason and this reason is only a SEASON in time. There are many times in our lives, this is just one of them. I don’t know this may seem like a long drawn out one or one of many bumps and bruises but whatever your journey now, this road has a cutoff point to an open highway.
While you’re on this road, God is trying to get you to focus, lean and TRUST in Him more than you ever thought you could.
May I suggest some spiritual counseling and readings while you’re in this place and of course serving will change your perspective.
What I have found out about God’s will is that He listens to all our prayers, and answers them even in miraculous ways, but on His terms and at His times. He has led me by His hand and made me do things, just as a child who is sometimes forced to go along with his parents. I do have the so-called free will but ultimately God’s will prevails over it.
Thank you R R this is exactly the problem I have. I need to be led by the hand like a little child sometimes and my daughter says that at times I stoop to levels of 14,7,6 when fighting with them over things. I need to remember before I say anything is to ask the Lord what He thinks I should do before lashing out like a spoiled child.
Hi guys….. i am new here anyway.. I am wondering what if the plane god made for is very difficult to follow? Now i am facing allot of problem i can’t decide which god plan ?? please guys help me
JamesE, it’s great to have you join us in the ODJ community. I’m sorry you’re facing so many problems. Jesus make it clear that He is with us in our problems. He told us that He is with us “always” (Matthew 28:20). When I’m facing challenges, I strive to do three things: 1. Pray to God for strength and wisdom. 2. Search God’s Word for wise instruction and principles. 3. Talk over my problems with mature believers in Jesus—getting their godly counsel. Here are a couple of ODJ posts that just might encourage you! http://www.ourdailyjourney.org/2010/02/19/perfect-path/ http://www.ourdailyjourney.org/2009/11/20/not-my-story/
I find it difficult to know God’s will for myself, and I
often wondered what should that be?? but i won’t let
myself wandering around to know what it is. Our daily journey tells us where are we leading to, what we become is the result of our actions and choices. God given us knowledge and free will if we encounter difficulties in life don’t take it as a problem but an oppurtunity to know ourselves on how to deal with it , Anyway there is no problem too big that God cannot solve it.
God’s mind is higher than ours. Just like the Israelites, people want it the “hard way,” and so God sometimes permits things they don’t want to happen, so just they could learn something. God is still in control whatever happens.
I learned that following God’s will, for me, means
1. getting rid of my own desires so I don’t try to rationalize my own way first.
2. I have also learned that when I feel a strong urge to do something that doesn’t make any sense and is not what I want to do but…is Godly…it’s God directing me to his will
3. Lastly, I learned that God only give me pieces of the picture of his plan and when I am obedient…and only then…do he give me more.
I’ve learned that doing God’s will isn’t the same as doing MY WILL and eventhough HIS WILL may not appear to be what I WANT to do it conclusively ends up being far better than anything I could plan on my own or contrive to do for myself. That is in ANY situation I’ve ever had to recall where I was in charge or I totally commtted to allowing God to run the show.
I have learned that when I turn away from God’s will for my life and go my own way, I will suffer in the long run.
Even though God is merciful and full of grace and always forgives and welcomes me back, I will have to live with the consequences of my obstinate behavior for the rest of my life. The wasted years and the regrets make me want to always seek God’s will first and die to self. becasue I have learned that He loves me and wants the very best for me.
The more time we spend getting to know GOD and having a relationship with GOD, we will disire and want to do his will. My son Joshua is in a private day care 5 days a week 9 hours a day. Joshua spends more time with this day care provider then he spends with me. During my quite time with God he pointed this out to me. Obedience is built with in a relationship.

I have learnt that initially following God’s will may
seem real tough but the end results are always
rewarding.
