When I’m in doubt of which way I should go or what choice to make I find a quiet spot and I pray for wisdom. And when His wisdom comes to me I honestly rarely understand at the time but I am always obediant! In time I see the wisdom in allowing God to show me the way rather than leaning unto my own understanding.
I believe God’s will is revealed first in the person of Jesus Christ. Less of a “roadmap” for the future and more of a person with whom I can know and be known, love and be loved.
This is an area in my walk that I struggle with! I truly do not know when it’s God’s will or my will. So I constantly pray for God for discernment and guidance but I is weary on what I hear.
I was very sick with pneumonia for a long time in bed. I started playing solitaire on my TV game channel. Then I started playing poker. Just me and the TV. No money involved.
Can God talk to me through poker?
After hours of homiletics and Bible study… it was in the poker that I realized my unwillingness to “fold.”
You have to fold, kathyanne.
Win, lose or regret, you have to fold.
I hold all the cards. I will give you the cards you need.
You cannot create the last diamond to get a flush.
Its only there if I put it there.
My practical, always-there-teaching-me if-I-will-only -listen, God.
everything is possible with God.when i think i can’t make it,because i know it’s so hard to face,God gives me the answer, that He is faithful.so,if there is something/situation that require us to ask Him for help, that is what God’s will.those situation will make us draw near to God.i believe that the Holy Spirit will always guide me,so i can hear God’s voice.
I believe God’s will is revealed through HIs word and His Holy Spirit. His will has been accomplished by the many examples (characters) in the Bible, and if we know God’s word, we can know God’s will for our lives. The Holy Spirit is our guide and not only hearing that voice (knowing what it is), but also following it is key to knowing God’s will for our lives as it relates to our individual lives and life plans; God-given life plans.
I believe when we learn how to take time to be in the presence of God, He will show us the way to His plan for us. Taking the time means worshipping Him, meditating on His Word, and praying for His Holy Spirit to reveal His plan for us.
I must admit that in the past, especially in my younger days, reading God’s Word was just a duty and to know (doesn’t mean obeying) about His moral teaching, and if i have the time. It is only in the last 2 years after i joined a spiritually God focused church that i realised the importance of the Holy Spirit. I would ask for God’s forgiveness, and to ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to seek God’s presence in my little worship/devotion time with Him, to listen to His whispers and see with the eyes of my heart His will for me. When i start to worship Him, somtimes the songs just come into my mind. After a couple of songs, i will go into a short prayer asking for wisdom and understanding, and to show me the plan/s He has for me. I believe we have to ASK God to reveal His plan for us if we really want Him to. Sometimes God reveals things to me outside of my devotion time. I just have to learn how to submit myself to Him. I find this is the way that I can get connect to God, and it helps me think about God a lot – i think this is the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you God!
I belonged to an organization that I was heavily involved with and did lots for the group. It involved singing. I have a music degree and lately the joy has left me and I have felt depressed with my singing with the group. I have meditated and prayed for weeks on what to do and have asked the Lord for guidance. Since I am very weary, tired, bothered, and unhappy, I have been seeking a direction to follow, asking God to make my steps and actions clear. He has done so and I have resigned my position with this group. Still, I am wondering if my actions were done properly. I am relieved that I no longer have that unhappy feeling while still asking for assurance that I have acted properly. I am relieved yet I’m still wondering if what I’ve done was done properly.

I can only be the best that I can be in my walk with Christ. Listen to the soft voice as to where I should go.
