Why is character so important as we strive to reach others for Jesus?

It’s tragic to see a believer in Jesus fall or fail. When they do—particularly if they have been highly visible—the effects can be devastating for the cause of Christ. People are watching us. If our character doesn’t reveal the transforming work of Jesus, then our message is lifeless . . .

Yes indeed…. I have been corrected a few times… This morning for instance…. During a conversation I was reminded of WWJD in a sensitive conversation…. The rights of the victum verse the rights of the predator…. Well it came down to this: Would JESUS put a man to death for constantly stealing?…. No, he would be punished to help him understand why he should not commit the crime…. So as a Christian I had to recant a comment I made (well if he stole, he should be punished, how ever the victum feels neccesary…. Especially if he keeps doing it over and over) LORD help our every thoughts to come in to your correction….. He told us to LOVE even the bad guys that show us the worst sides of them……

I think the verse “let your LIGHT SOoooo shine… Matt5:16” answers it all. amen
