My favorite is Psalm 139. I love it because it gives me reassurance that no matter where you are God is there. No matter how far you travel, or whatever distant land you visit, even in darkness, God is there. It’s so comforting to know my Father is very close, helping me deal with everything that comes to pass in my daily life. I think it also keeps me ever mindful of my responsibility to obey His word. And in the times I fail (because I am not perfect, only human), He is there to hear my plea for forgiveness for my transgression. The 139th Psalm is comforting – period. I have it posted on my wall so I can read it when I need reassurance that He is watching over me, and protecting me.
Good one, jessie1. This psalm has also provided comfort and conviction to me over the years. Immanuel, God with us—what a promise to bring us hope! We’re also aware that He is aware of all we think an do. May we walk with Him today.
My favorite is Psalm 8 which talks about how great and powerful God is and i so much loved verse 4 which talked about how much God cared about us and the subsequent verses reflecting on the great things God has done for us.It keeps me in awe of God hat though He had the moon, stars, and the heaven which obviously are not giving Him as much trouble as we do but yet He is still Mindful of us.
ibukunoluwa12 – I am currently reading the entire book of Psalms, and this one stood out to me also. I have always felt that looking around at all the beauty that surrounds us is proof to me that God is real. From a tiny bird to the wonders of our universe in all it’s splendor. It makes me see God’s handiwork that we are permitted to enjoy. I must admit at times I must remind myself to take the time to consider the beautiful things that He has made.
My favorite is Psalm 27. It talks about how God is my light and salvation, protecting from evil predators, and comes to my aid when folks shun me. And the aspect I like most is the one that says:
”One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple”
It must be psalms 23. Even though recently my senior pastor joseph prince has been preaching on psalms 91 and how important it is. I still want to say psalms 23 is my favourite. LOL. Guys, come visit my blog. Its http://www.forevergrace79.blogspot.sg

Both of you, I so appreciate Psalm 8 as well. God’s majestic presence truly does fill the entire earth!

Well, God is in the big and the small. There is nothing too small for him to take care of and no problem so big He cannot solve.
