I experienced this all my married life. My wife has shared my burden so often in our lives. I, too have tried to lighten her load in the past 28 years of marriage. I feel it really brings a couple closer to have another person lend a hand both physically and emotionally. I also think it deepens your love for one another to know there is a person who ” has your back”.

Good insight, jessie1. A spouse or close friend drawing near to us during difficult seasons of life can mean so much—especially when they help us see God and His promises more clearly!
