Thanks for the link. I think this study may be saying that a growing percentage the population as a whole is becoming less informed of the basic ideas of Christianity or the Christian Church is becoming less knowledgeable about their own religion. I am not sure which, as It is hard to tell what was measured. There is no list of questions, demographic or raw data supplied to backup the findings. Do you know where I can find this info? It is really hard to give any meaningful opinions with only the paragraph interpretation on that link.

zero_g, as the article states, the megathemes are trends found in all Barna research done in 2010. For individual research studies, you can drill down through the list at the bottom of this page: http://www.barna.org/barna-update
Peace!

i also read this to mean the general population (especially young people) are becoming less informed.
Church youth programs and education are very effective keeping teens involved and informed- if of course parents take the initiative to get them there…

Sacrifice. Sacrifice a job if it hinders your relationship with God, Sacrifice relationships, activities, hobbies, anything that may interfere with what God wants. Of course this won’t be easy, but we are called to be the salt and light of the world. Light lights up the darkness of this fallen world and salt preserves the message we hold. And finally we need to pray, and see where God thinks we are. Indeed it may be a big job, considering the pressure from the forces of evil, but I reckon it is possible.
