“I believe in Christianity as I believe in the sun—not because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” Great insight into the reality that faith in Jesus affects everything and provides wisdom for our deepest questions, hopes, and needs.

“Your real, new self (which is Christ’s and also yours, and yours just because it is His) will not come as long as you are looking for it. It will come when you are looking for Him. Does that sound strange?”
When I look for myself I will be disappointed and unfulfilled, on my own I cannot find the “real, new self.” But life in Him is so much more than I could have ever imagined and hoped for.

Great quote, sbarclay. It reminds me of Jeremiah 29:13, where God says, “If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me.”
