Hello all my brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ…..What I am looking forward to in 2015, is a deeper, stronger and outgoing relationship with Jesus. I am an American living in Tianjin, China and as a result, I really stand out, becfause I’m caucasian and obviously an American. As a result of that people I meet as I make my way around the city riding buses, walking and going to church or the market come up to me to make contact/talk even in broken English. I want my life in Jesus Christ to be obvious, for the light of the Holy Spirit to be refracted thru me and show to other people the deep love of Jesus for us all. That is my greatest desire, so I will read God’s Holy Word consistently, read devotionals, meditate on the Word and pray always for God to use me and to be as Jesus as possible in all of my contacts/interactions with all people I meet and deal with. Bless all of you in the New Year, let’s always seek Him and share Him.
Love you passion for Jesus, Gary! May you find an even deeper walk with Him this New Year, and may you stand out for Him because of the radiance of His beauty shining through you. Press on!
I have recently come to God and become a Christian. It is very new to me and my goal for the new year is to study the Word and become closer to God in my life. I am hoping to gain more insight through the bible and keep my life dedicated to God and what path he has chosen for me.
Dear dpackard,
Welcome to a whole new life, a wonderful, rich, fulfilling life. You have made the most important correct decision you could possibly ever make. Your goal is right on the mark, stay always in the Holy Word of God, humble yourself and each day commit your life and will to God’s will. Then stand back and watch as you are transformed ever so slowly, yet ever so assuredly from the inside out. Find Christian brothers and sisters you can commune with either in person or in church/small Bible study or online, you will be just fine and will grow ever closer to the Lord. We all love you and I’m sure I speak for all who participate in this email devo, we will pray for you and be some of your biggest supporters on your journey. Stay close to the Lord, you will be fine. God bless you.
Wow! What fantastic encouragement from Gary to dpackard & indeed to all of us as we journey as Companions in faith together. I bless you and thank you.
What are you looking forward to as we enter the New Year?
I want to try to do better each day in all areas of my life. I want to help as many people as I can.
I want to work to be getting closer to perfection, according to God, but I know I will always be broken. I pick up my cross and follow Him and He will show me what “I am looking forward to”.
