I have several goals and want to be an instrument of the Lord in this upcoming year. One thing I am going to do differently is I am going to use a Prayer Journal; I want to have that reminder of the faithfulness of the Lord, I think sometimes I tend to forget how faithful He is to me, in all circumstances. “For the Lord is near to all who call upon Him. To all who call upon Him in truth.” Psalm 145:18
Thanks for sharing, sbarclay. Great idea to use the prayer journal to both focus your words to God and also capture the great things He has done and will do!
Early this year with the resolution to walk perfectly with God. October 13 was another anniversary of grace. A day before that day, I was reminding God like He had forgotten, I told Him in a prayer to add to my spiritual gifts. The quiet voice of the Holy Spirit was what I heard next. And His words where- COMPLETE THE FRUIT! Since then I’ve been praying for the fruit of the Spirit instead of the gift. Now I can testify I have the fruits and the gifts. Although I don’t know the fruits & some gifts has been secreted in me but people keep testifying after group prayers & talks. Hallelujah!
yemiks1, thanks for sharing this account from your walk with God. As the BIble tells us: “The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23). May we experience the fruit of the Spirit today as we prayerfully walk with Him!
I am currently serving in my church Christ Apostolic Church. As a district superintendent, for effective work of God 2013, I will like holy Spirit to fill my life.My prayer for all of us to love God the more.
