Emmanuel . . . God with us! What does this mean to you?
It’s telling me that in faith and belief of our Lord Jesus Christ we will find God. We may even start to understand a small percent of what is happening to us and why, but to fully know we must have that full understanding of our core beings. We are awful people and do awful things, we think awful things and we say awful things. We realize we are nothing but a speck of the lowest of the lowest of what a human can be and we over look it, we justify it, we blame others for it. When it is revealed to us in the raw do we become humble through conviction, but we also start to become Jesus children. We must convict ourselves using God’s standards and not our own, we must see our wrongs and pray for forgiveness, then accept being forgiven by our Lord and move forward with what we are told by our Lord Jesus Christ and then and only then do we have purpose.
Thank you Jesus Christ for giving your life for me even though I don’t deserve it, but saved by your grace and I accept it, as I accept you forever more. Amen.
Through the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit, Jesus lives with me and has the power to deliver me from the grip of any bondage. No sinful habit, painful past, or present struggle is too difficult for the God-Man to overcome. Because he is with me.
A number of years ago my husband and I led a missions team to Costa Rica. Our host, Emanuel, had taken us up a mountain to see a volcano. As we stood and looked down into the boiling, steaming throat of the volcano, a fog began to roll in around us and we knew we had better hurry back to the van. The problem was we couldn’t see the van and a bit of panic set in. Our host said, “Don’t worry, remember my name……..Emanuel, God with us!” Just like our experience of being in the fog with a boiling volcano nearby, our experience in life can be the same. SO wonderful to remember that God is with us at that time. The Christmas story is so much more than just a seasonal celebration to us when we study it in depth and see ALL that God has done for us by coming to us through the baby Jesus in a manger. All I can say is ‘thank You God that His name is Emanuel…………and that through Him You are with us every moment of every day.”
‘Emmanuel, God with us’ How reassuring to know that no matter what situation/s we are in God is always there for us. So true when i look back through my life. What a privilege to be God’s children.

Amen, mizroby. It’s amazing that we can call out in prayer and praise to our great Emmanuel, isn’t it?
