Before I met Christ, life for me had no meaning, tryed on many occassions to “Kill myself,” but God had over plans for me! Amen for that. I am one who is very thankful everyday for “my Saviour’s Resurrection” and I still continue to be encouraged by this passage which I hold close to my Heart, “In a little while the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you will live, too.” (John 14:19) These words resonate to the depth of my soul, just knowing that Jesus suffered a painful, horrible death on the cross and died in my place. I didn’t understand back then when I was living in darkness. It pictures one throwing his body over another to take the punishment in Himself. Jesus did this for lost men, in which I was once. To me the “Resurrection proves the deity of Christ and makes His death meaningful and effective. It daily assures me and other believers of Christ’s never-ending companionship and is the guarantee of my own resurrection and that of other believers. I thank God daily that “Jesus is Alive” in me today! Jesus is my example, and His life gives me strength for the race set before me. I can now look unto Him as author and finisher of my faith, because He completed the work at Calvary and is at the right hand of my “Heavenly Father.” (Heb. 12:12) This truely is my free gift and I cherish this gift of “new life” each day. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice. Continue to Pray for “the Peace of Jerusalem, our Church’s, our brother’s and sisters in the Lord here at home and abroad and finally for all those who are still out there living in darkness, searching for the meaning to this life as I once was. No one should be without hope, I challenge all of those who read this to share the Love of Christ with the lost and go the extra mile to bless someone who is in need. May you all be blessed and encourage is my prayer.
I am surprised that the event that happened about two thousand years ago and is at the very center of our faith is not affecting people and their faith. For me it is the evidence of God’s promise that I – by believing that Christ is risen from the dead – will live in eternity with Him. Jesus won the Victory over sin and death on our behalf and came back to show his disciples, and everyone else, that He is God.
This affects my faith by giving me so much joy I can hardly contain it. He is risen! and one day He will come and take us to a place that is beyond our comprehension and understanding. In the here and now it is a rock to hold on to in these stormy days.
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. – Thank you Jesus for all that you have done and continue to do to save a wretch like me.
From Human to Spirit, I saw the errors of my ways and for the life I live I now know that He is with me. I was never without Him but just didn’t know Him.
Now that I do, I love Him.
I changed my way of how I did things, how I thought, how I speak and what it is that show to others. Not to be perfect by any means but better. I had to lose everything to find Him and the cost was still not greater than His.
Happy Easter Everyone.
While in high school, I had the youth pastor of my parents’ very liberal church tell me that it didn’t matter if you believed that Christ was resurrected or not. Yet is the center of our faith. Without the resurrection, our faith has no hope, no reason to stand out from all the other religions of the world. To me the truth of the resurrection gives me joy in the face of life’s greatest sorrows, and hope for an eternity with my Savior. What an incredible gift from the God of the Universe!
