Words to ponder:
We are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like His own, using the same power with which He will bring everything under His control (Philippians 3:20-21).
I’m just a small town girl, but traveling to far away, different places makes me happy and relaxed. Recently, I went to Manila, where the biggest cities in the Philippines are located. I stayed there for 4 days, and when it was time to leave, I suddenly felt the same feeling that I’ve always experienced whenever my stay comes to an end. I felt like I hadn’t had enough and I simply don’t want to go. Being in a different place, forgetting your usual life for a while, meeting different people, making new friends, and even seeing old friends that you haven’t seen for a while, fascinates me. Then something crossed my mind—the place where every one of God’s children would love to be: HEAVEN.
Someday, we—God’s children—will be in a totally different place, a place that’s far better than the world we live in. We’ll forget our old lives and live a perfect life with God, meet different people, make new friends, and even be with those friends that were separated from us through death. But most of all, we’ll be in genuine and unending happiness with God. He offers us the gift of eternal life in heaven where we’ll never say, “I think I’ve never had enough and I don’t want to leave yet.” We can be there with Him forever. —submitted by Kayrol Ann B.
