Q: I have have this impression/thought that demons are not united even among themselves. It seems like a logical deduction but I would like more certainty if its possible to know what is the stance of the Bible. In Mark 3:23-26, Jesus spoke about a house divided cannot stand. Does that imply in anyway that the demons are united? —Wee Ming
A: Demons are united in their hatred of God and His Kingdom. They aren’t united by love, but by fear and hatred.
Also, Ephesians 6:12 implies that Satan has organized the rebellious angels into a hierarchy or structure. I hope this proves to be helpful. —Dan Vander Lugt

Intriguing question and answer! I might add that ultimately, Satan’s “house” will not stand.

Wee Ming, you are right about the information provided in Mark 3. Also, from Matthew 12 and Luke 11, we know demons are united. In unity there is strength. Evil spirits are united for one purpose— destruction of the human soul. They will not rest until they devour and destroy you.
Question is: will you— unite with demons and let your soul be destroyed?
Jesus refers to Satan as a strong man and refers to Himself as someone even stronger than the devil (Matthew 12:29). When you accept Christ, He will deliver you from the captivity of alcoholism, drugs, porn, lying, cheating, stealing and every evil spirit that enslaves people. But after being made clean when you get entangled in that same sin again, you are worse off than before (Matthew 12:43-45).
Be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t get drunk and ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:15-18). Work with Christ and be delivered from Satan’s strongholds. The Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
