So what’s your life verse or favorite Bible passage? I new a guy who claimed this was his life verse: “At Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar” (1 Chronicles 26:18 KJV). Needless to say, he had a wry sense of humor. 🙂
My life verses are found in Proverbs 3:4-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” These words from God’s Word have given me great comfort and counsel over the years. When I don’t understand, TRUST GOD. When I’m not sure which path to take, SEEK GOD. I thank God for His inspired Scripture!
What about you? What’s your favorite verse or passage of Scripture, and why has it meant so much to you?

One of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:13. The Lord gave us this promise that if we seek Him with all of our hearts, we will surely find Him. Whenever there is dryness inside, He will provide Himself if we search for His presence, truth, and righteousness amidst all problems & trials.
Another is 2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness…” I know I’m weak, and can’t do things that easily, and I know that really well. When I don’t know what to do because of my fear and weaknesses, I know that if I give all those things to the Lord, He will provide strength. When I am weak, then I am strong because of Christ Jesus.

I was never a life-verse person. However in more recent days, Psalm 37:4 has pop out more often than not. The last time was back in 1990, a life-changing year. I say this verse is mine.

Mine is also Proverbs 3:5 & 6. When I was a teacher in a Christian school, I always taught it to my first graders. I also write it on every card I give to my three children and five grandchildren. The Lord gives us clear direction on how to live in these 2 verses.

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer i who live but Christ lives in me. and the life which i now live in the flesh, i live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Jeremiah 29:11 has been a huge verse for me especially within the last year when I finally “listened” to the verse!
Ephesians 2:10 is also an awesome one:
“We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Romans 8:32 has a great impact in my life.
HE gave HIS all, even HIS life…what more HE couldn’t offer? As long as it is according to HIS will, HE will generously give. =)

Stumbled on this recently and i guess for some of us…our life verses change with the season and most times it changes with our circumstance or challenges…
Right now for me it is……Barricade the road that goes nowhere, grace me with your clear revelation. Psalm 119:29 (The message)

This is my life verse 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Some of our life circumstances are difficult to give thanks for, however when we focus on God and who He is and what He is doing it removes our focus on feeling sorry for ourselves. Also this verse tells us what God’s will is and there is no better place than being in His will.

I don’t have a ‘life verse’ per se.
However I do keep coming back to James chapters 3 and 4 because they bring simplistic yet hard truths to ‘check myself’ by, thus helping keep myself in line and humble (hopefully).
But the hard ‘simple’ truth to swallow has always been one verse that makes me think, ponder, and meditate on to no end.
James 4:17Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.
Sometimes I just keep asking myself what is ‘the good I ought to do’ for me today?!

I love Gods word, he tells us,
He that has my word, let him speak my word faithfully…Jeremiah 23:28.
And we know also by the word, that his word will not return void.
I love all of his word…
But a word, I share for healing, that I prayed is
Jeremiah 17:14. I had gotten a bad doctors report. I prayed that, and God healed me….
This is that scripture.
HEAL ME OH LORD, AND I WILL BE HEALED. SAVE ME, AND I WILL BE SAVED. FOR YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE I WILL PRAISE.
He honored that scripture that I prayed, because it was HIS word.
Blessings,
