Stop looking at how big, how huge the mountains and difficulties are in your life—look at Jesus! He has the power to cast all of them into the seas, but we must obey Him. Many of His children claim to love Him, but fail to trust Him.

“When the disciples saw Jesus walking on the lake, they were terrified. ‘It’s a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them : ‘Take courage ! It is I. Don’t be afraid,’ ‘Lord, if it’s you,’ Peter replied, ‘Tell me to come to you on the water.’ ‘Come,’ He said.

“Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried, ‘Lord, save me!’ Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith!’ He said, WHY DID YOU DOUBT?

“And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down” (Matthew 14:26-32).

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18 KJV).

In life, often we face problems. For example: lack of finances, the share market dropping, a shaky economy, lost jobs, loss of love ones, change of government, etc. These are the storms of life. Though we say we love our Lord, how many of us really, truly trust Him to bring us out of the storms of life? Jesus is always there for us, but WHY DO WE DOUBT THE LORD?

Let’s not be like Peter, who just stepped into the water for a few steps and started to sink because his focus was shifted from Jesus to the storms of our Life.

O Lord, HELP US TO TRUST YOU MORE!
No matter how big the mountains seem to be,
help us to see that You stand behind the mountains.
No matter how heavy the storms seem to be in our life,
open our eyes to focus on You as You walk us through the storm.

I pray and ask this in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus, AMEN.  —submitted by Cassandra, Malaysia
