There are a couple of things that I’ve learned recently. One is that no matter when and where, you should always trust God. Things can seem really, really bleak at times. Nothing in your mind is saying “it’s gonna work out,” but God has His ways. Seriously. There are far too many things to worry about and the problem that you’re facing is taking up too much space in your head. So chuck it out, because God wants it. He’s there to help you solve the problem! Leave it to him and trust that things will work out. I know it may sound simple, but I believe that’s the best way to handle our troubles.
Trust in God. All that there is and should be.

Amazing pic, Victor! I’m so grateful that God promises to guide us as we trust in Him (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Victor, thank you once again for your wonderful picture and your inspiring thoughts/experience.
The colour of the sea makes me feel a sense of calm even though the waves may be hitting hard onto the wall of the lovely formed rocks. The turquoise colored sea reminds me of my holiday in Capri, Italy. It was a beautiful and calm day out on a boat then.
You are right, there is calm in tough times when we put our trust in our Sovereign God. Amen and God bless.

What does it mean, “trust in God?”
OK, so things are going really bad, maybe you lost a loved one, or your job, or people have betrayed you…what does “trust God” mean? Let’s say you are a missionary and have been kidnapped by enemies of the gospel. These people will likely kill you, like they have done to countless people in the past.
What exactly are we to trust? Trust that he will work it out for the good? He doesn’t always do that, you know. So am I supposed to ignore the reality that things could get worse? That I might not see the positive side to my suffering in this life?
Struggling to understand…I think I trust God, but I also think I live a very blessed life and things could easily change. I also wonder if God really is that involved in everyone’s life. I know he’s been involved in some people’s lives, that is clear in scripture. But also there are times in the Bible where it seems God isn’t 100% concerned or aware with what’ s happening on earth.

Good questions, austin. Thanks for posting! Your quote from Romans 8:28 is helpful. The verse states, “We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” So, as Paul wrote through inspiration of the Holy Spirit, God can and will use “all things” (even bad ones) to help us grow in our Christ-likeness—becoming more holy, more like Jesus. Trust reveals a faith that goes beyond circumstance to acknowledging God’s sovereignty, but also His goodness. As someone who has battled cancer four times, I know that a deep trust in God has carried me through my journey. I trust Him because He is good and—per your questions—truly is present with us all the time. Check out Matthew 28:20 and Hebrews 13:5 for starters. Hope this helps!
