The one thing I desire in ministry is to give God the best that I’ve got. I don’t always succeed, but I aspire to give him my best. How can we be sure that we are giving God the best we’ve got? Based on 1 Corinthians 3:10-15, here are three very important questions that can help us to achieve maximum effectiveness in ministry and life.
Question #1: What is the motive of your ministry? Service? Life?
Answer: Always choose the approval of God over the praise of people.
Question #2: How are you mastering your ministry? Service? Life?
Answer: Always choose excellence over mediocrity.
Question #3: What is the measure of your ministry? Service? Life?
Answer: Always choose the eternal over the temporary.
Are these questions beneficial in helping you give God your best? Which question tends to speak most deeply to your soul?

Marvin, thanks for bringing these questions to the community. I’m reminded of the words of Paul in Colossians 3:23, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men” (NIV). If we’re working for Jesus, we won’t be pursuing the praise of other people. If we’re doing ministry to glorify Jesus, we’ll be doing it with excellence for He is our King. If the measure of our life is serving Jesus with all our heart, we’ll be amassing eternal treasure—not the stuff that moth and rust destroys!

God knows your heart and ability HE gave you Himself; and when you do HIS will and living for HIS plan and purpose there is no way you are seeking for peoples approval. always seek HIS face and ask the Lord how you can serve HIM with the gifts HE has bestowed upon you to serve HIM with all your heart , mind, soul , and being., for its “in HIM we live move and have our being” Glory to God. so edify the body of Christ by doing what God asks of you to please HIM and not men. amen. also , a good way in finding out; what is your motive., and our success is not in this world of materialism, our success is in Christ Jesus for our eternal life. Halleluia. amen Thanks be to the Lord God Almighty. amen and amen , be blessed as you serve the Lord to please God our Heavenly Father. “let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works glorifying God in Heaven.” I just love the Lord our God in Heaven. HE is so good and never fails us.
