Definitely a young-earth creationist. I simply believe that God created the earth in the time that he said he did. He clearly states in Revelation 17:19 – And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. The Bible is the Word and the Word is God. Amen
The credibility of the Scripture cannot be doubted nor we fit God’s word into science’s perspective of Earth.
But the Bible does state in Proverbs 3
“19 By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations,by understanding he set the heavens in place;
20 by his knowledge the deeps were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. ”
Most laws and theories of science (not all) are about God’s knowledge, wisdom and understanding in making our home.
“8My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.”
How can the people in the olden times understand the sum of knowledge that God use to create the world. What method He used? What principle? What laws He set in place for this perfect clockwork to work?
The question lies not how it came about or when it came about. It solely lies on who. And if the answer is God then all the other things render useless.
I’m a young earth creationist. I believe that God created everything and had no need for millions of years to do his work. I am also a physic major and cannot “turn a blind eye” to what the science results produce. Science has proven that there was no way the earth is millions of years old. Physics, chemistry, geology and others fields all have had great finds that point to a young earth. If you want to read more about some recent great finds in the science world check out Answers In Genesis.
