If Jesus was born in the same year as you, would He be doing what you do? Would He be involved in the things that you are? Would He be your friend on Facebook . . . Twitter? Or perhaps you would deny His request. Better yet, would you want him to read your wall, or the pictures you posted? How about those tweets? Would He laugh at what you find humorous if He read them? Could you three-way Jesus on all of your phone conversations?
You do know that He knows what you read, write, laugh at . . . and all?
Read Galatians 5:16-24
We can’t afford to give up ground in this battle—the battle for our souls. These seemingly small, “minor,” “insignificant,” compromises and concessions start to add up. They tend to distract and deter your walk. They also dull your sensitivity to sin and the things that hurt or grieve God’s heart. At the very least, they take up valuable time. Do you spend the same amount of time reading the Word or in prayer as you do with these other activities? The enemy lures us into putting God second, third, fourth, or giving God our leftovers. Think about it.
A little concession here, a small compromise there—tolerance in the name of political correctness adds up to a life that displeases God. A little leaven. —submitted by Rodney Harrison, US

Good, though-provoking insights, Rodney. It’s true that how we spend our time, talents, and treasures reveals what has captured our heart. May we leave behind the crumbs of the “little leaven” and feast on the rich and abundant life that Jesus provides!
