When we ourselves really dare

to give more than we can spare

without ever complaining

but sincerely rejoicing.

Only then generosity

will become a reality,

not only for the young and old,

but also for the meek and bold.

We need not be prosperous

to be kind or generous;

we just need to be selfless

to bless others on purpose.

Whether talented or not so gifted,

we can still serve people and God;

whether our giving is seen or unheard,

still great is our divine reward.

Whether once or on more occasions,

we have given until it hurts,

God gives us His timely assurance

He will remove our strifes and hurts.

No matter how generous we are,

we can never outgive or top God;

than us all, God is kinder by far—

His kindness cannot be sold or bought.

As generous as He is kind—

our selfishness, God wants to bind

that as we become more and more like Him,

more and more lost souls will be drawn to Him.

As we freely receive,

we should all freely give;

in various ministries, let us give to God

out of love, and not so much for His reward.

As we sow generously

not so much for ourselves, but for God,

we shall reap generously

to give even more glory to God.

Whether a bit or a lot,

we can still be kind and generous

as Abraham was to Lot,

Abe became famous and prosperous.

Not only to loved ones and friends,

we should always be generous;

but also to strangers and fiends,

so we can all be prosperous.

When to the least of people, we give

without expecting any reward,

the best of the best, we shall receive

from our merciful and loving God.
