Imagine the Bible as a telescope that allows you to peer into the heart of God. What do you see? Wow, wow, wow, what an inspirational question! My initial thoughts is of an anguished parent or teacher pulling their hair out trying to penetrate the mind of an unresponsive child or children. I am going to keep this question in mind as I read and try to become much closer to our God as I try to understand His teachings
Everything.
Deuteronomy 6:5 – Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied: ” `Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: `Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Mark 9:41 I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.
1Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Philippians 4:4 – 7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
These are just a few of the Scriptures that tell us what God wants from us. Truely He has given us everything so that we can share with everyone. In Jesus precious name – Amen
