Eventually, people are going to rise up and demand freedom and equality. God made us that way…no matter what our nationality. We are ALL His creation. I pray that the Egyptians will be rewarded with a better system and not one that is worse than they have now. Signs of the times though…look at USA…not really a Christian nation anymore. Only God knows the outcome and how it will fit his purpose.
Good thoughts, lindagma. Scripture reveals the need for people to respect governmental authority (Romans 13:1-7), but not at the cost of obedience to God (Acts 4:19-20).
I have been drawn to prayer for a more just order to reign in Egypt. I am reminded that every king is ultimately under God’s rule, but not every king uses this authority granted to them well. I pray the Egyptian government that will emerge will be more equitable and just, not less.
