Jesus said “I am the Way, The Truth, and The Life, no man cometh to the Father but by me.” Truth is found in Jesus and all that He taught about coming to the Father. It is by His substitutional payment for our sins on the cross that we find life.

Lucille, it’s amazing to think that Pilate was literally looking into the eyes of Truth—but couldn’t see it! Yes, Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life.

I would answer: Look around you, you can’t find the truth many lives living in wrong ways, look at my life, my way and my Father you’re just going to find the truth.

Truth is definitely an absolute I believe.
Being totally open and honest with God about anything in your life (good or bad).
When we look into His Word; into His face in prayer and praise; all we can see is truth.
Something with which to balance all other things.
We can make it easy or difficult.
Sorry for my rambling. This is my first time.

Good thoughts, David! Your emphasis on the fact that truth allows us to “balance all other things” reminds me of this quote from C.S. Lewis: “I believe in Christianity as I believe in the sun—not because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”

Thanks Tom for the reply. I could only use my
own personal life experiences to deal with
truth. I read and re-read “My Utmost For His
Highest” by the late Oswald Chambers. What
would he be saying today in regards to truth if
he were part of this generation? His
teachings did help me face truth about myself,
difficultly at times. To paraphrase Lewis: “I
believe in the Son; not because I see Him, but
because I see what he’s done in others’ lives
as well as my own.

David, it is amazing to see Jesus working in others’ lives. But it sounds like He’s been working in your heart as well. May you live your life by this truth, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).
