Moving around so much in the past 10 years, I have always found comfort in Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
As well as Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your path straight.
John 16:33. It’s a double-promise but one negates the other is the way I look at it.
For the past year, I have included this scripture in my daily meditation and prayer.
1. is so that I NEVER forget that life here on Earth is not supposed to be a bowl of cherries and although I may be blessed by abundance, good things, situations, people, etc. When I do come against a trial/tribulation, that I don’t get disappointed, sad or angry about it because Jesus has taught me to “expect” it.
2. that no matter what that trial/tribulation is…Jesus has already overcome and conquered it and anything I will face in the future and that in Him I too can overcome it.
Today the verse I need is Hebrews 12: 2 and the statement made in Our Daily Bread The way to stay out of Spiiritual ditches is to fix your eyes on Jesus.

My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me (Psalms 62:7).
