The miracle God has given me is the ability to live life free from guilt and self-condemnation. Under that guilt I spent most of my adult life not being able to find my own worth. He has restored that and perhaps to someone other than me or my husband, it wouldn’t be obvious, but to us — it is a miracle of His Grace!!!
Just thought I would reply to this post as I can empathise. My wife and I have been trying for a child most of our married life (9 years) and have been to told that medicallay there was just a 5% chance that this would happen naturally. We tried IVF on many occasions over the years – putting our faith in medicine and science, in the end we gave up. We came to remember that we need to put our trust in God and wait on Him and what His will would be – we appreciated that a natural birth was all but impossible. We submitted to God and trusted in Him. Guess what – God doesn’t work with man made percentages!! and we found out five weeks ago that we (with Gods grace) are going to be parents before the end of the year!! We cannot praise the Lord and give thanks enough. If you read this please pray for my wife and I that we will have a healthy baby. I write this also for those who perhaps are having difficulties in starting a family. Go to the Lord in prayer is my advice not just on this but on every issue.
There was at least one event in my life, too personal to describe, which I have always considered as nothing but God’s miracle. It was a defining moment in my career and I am ever thankful to God for bringing it about in response to my prayers.
God has really been working in my life, and I really feel His love for me. I have been going through a lot for the past year, attempting suicide, going through depression, cutting myself, and recently, my grandmother’s been diagnosed with fourth stage lung cancer. However, throughout the past year, God has really worked in my life, showing me how awesome He is, how beautiful beyond description He is, and i feel really touched by God’s grace, that He has saved me many times, and helped me through many tough times, that I know however tough life is, God is with me always, He will never leave nor forsake us, and I know, that one day, I will see Jesus, see God face to face, and I’m looking forward to that day where I will see my beautiful Saviour(: I really thank God for his amazing grace and love for each and every one of us.
GOD ALMIGHTY has blessed my husband above and beyond what we would ever imagine for 4 years and a little bit more he is alcohol-free.Not seeking AA but GOD who is in control because when you believe that all things are possible with GOD. HE has answered my prayers. I prayed for many years to free him of all things that are not pleasing to OUR GOD. WHAT’S IMPOSSIBLE WITH MAN IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD so long as HE dwells in your heart……and HE does.
The Heavenly Father has blessed me with 7 years of being completely clean and sober, a loving family, and caring friends. Through his servants Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II, the both of them brought me into Christ Jesus ‘everlasting arms’, and there I have stayed. And Christ Jesus is always there for all of us. Us lost sheep are always welcomed by Him; all we have to do is just humbly ask for His help.God should be very proud of His son, who delivered a wretch such as us.
My husband was very ill about this same time last year and so many prayers went out on his behalf; just unbelievable! What looked hopeless to me at the time due to the doctors prognosis was not God’s prognosis at all. Love, faith and prayers were answered and my husband made a full recovery. Life doesn’t always work out the way I make plans for it to work out, but at the end, God’s will is done and I am aware of how it worked out for a greater good. I do get so discouraged at times, but I pull through because of a loving Heavenly Father that I lay my burdens upon.
In March of 2008 at the age of 25 I was told that I would not live more than 3 weeks with out a liver transplant. I never did receive that transplant, and am healthier than I have ever been in my life. I remember it was Easter week i went to a Thursday night service with much of my friends and family, at the end of the service the pastor asked if anyone needed prayer, i went to the front told him what was going on, he prayed for me along with countless other people (probably more than 50) that laid hands on me…I remember that day i started to feel better. while it was not an over night miracle that my liver was healed, it took several months, but i know God used that time to show me a new way of living 🙂
The biggest miracle God has ever done for me was saving me. He then delivered me and set me free from 20 years of methamphetamine abuse!!! God is an awesome God….always has been and always will be!!!! Praise His Holy Name!
What is a miracle that God has performed in my life or in the life of someone I know?
Experiencing God’s working in my life is always miraculous. I delight in daily identifying the things that only God can do in, around and through me. I delight in knowing His miraculous mercy and grace because of the presence of His Spirit within me. Seeing His timing in events that some consider only happenstance; recognizing His provision in my neediness; Exchanging His rest and strength for my weariness and His healing for my sin sick soul. The restoring of relationships, words fitly spoken, words given miraculously by His Spirit indeed even words of praise to our God come because of His miraculous presence within. Experiencing His peace in the overwhelming and stormy times of life this too is miraculous. Yet while knowing Him daily in these ways is miraculous, the greatest miracle will be seeing Jesus face to face for all eternity declaring that He alone is worthy of blessing and honor and glory, my Savior and my God.
Well, I know of people who had miracles performed in their lives, mine included.
One that I’ll definitely look back on was the time when I was born.
To cut the story short, I almost died when I was in my mother’s womb because the umbilical cord somehow, wound up around my throat. According to the doctors, I was in distress. Anyway, I was saved in the nick of time.
How?
That time, a church member felt somthing wasn’t right and told my mother to go for a check up.
If she didn’t… I wouldn’t be typing this comment! 🙂
Protecting me in a major wreck that destroyed the car and I didn’t have a single cut or broken bone, healing my son after a brain injury when he was not expected to live or function, healing my heart from physical and sexual abuse, using me to help others when I am unworthy.
