I do it, by example, by praying for them right when they express the need sometimes, by telling them why, when and how I pray and showing them bible verses about prayer. I also encourage them with stories about how God has answered my prayers. If I am excited about prayer it can be contagious
At our church, Edgmond Evangelical, we love to encourage people to pray! Our leaders set a great example by always praying over decisions to be made. We have a committed prayer chain and encourage people to give thanks for answered prayers. Every week we have a church prayer meeting and also in our weekly church update have a short ‘prayer focus’ slot so that our members can hold things in prayer over the week. In short its leading by example.
