Would my actions speak louder than my words? Is my love an action, a verb, not just a word? Do I live my life to show that Jesus Christ is my saviour? Can you tell that I believe in the gospel message if I never say a word?
Normally I would say that preaching requires words, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. But…a simple act of kindness can move mountains too.
… that others should see, because of our actions and re-actions, that the Good News of what Jesus has done for us (restoring a sin-wrecked relationship with God, His Father) allows me to live with an inner peace free from worry, fear and more. I think we should ‘let our words be few’ as the Scripture says and as a recent worship tune goes. O that I could find that sweet spot and remain there where living for God with His Spirit’s help is seen as much as it is heard. Humm, just look at all the words here…
This statement tells us our actions should show the characteristics of compassion and love. That others can see that Christ is the center of our beings and be ready to witness at all times
Another great quote, I believe it is by St. Francis of Assisi. Everything we do should reflect who we are and point to Christ.
You can spread the gospel by living it out and having others ask you why you are different, or you can get up into peoples faces and tell them what they are doing wrong. Which do you think is more effectve?
